Dancing Rain Capital Pte Ltd has been created by a group of people who share a vision that ventures and funders can create tremendous value and address the challenges of today. 

 

The team is led by Jamuna Rao Verghese. A belief that the future lies in new paradigms for businesses and capital led her to start Dancing Rain Capital in Singapore and earlier, ‘Inclusive markets and Impact Investment, Financial services’ line of work at PwC, India.  

 

She has a unique combination of leadership experience in funding and management consulting and has worked with Citibank, ANZ Grindlays Bank, PwC and Walmart; in debt and equity investment, business growth, strategy, operations and impact. 

 

Recognized as the ‘Top 100 Powerful Women in Finance in India, 2019‘, author of publications, notable of which are ‘The Power of Impact’ with the global impact investment body, GSG and ‘E-commerce in India: Fueling a Billion Digital dreams’ with Nasscom industry body for technology in India.

 

Actively involved in pro-bono initiatives – set up few mobile libraries for under-privileged children in Gurgaon, developed a platform for selling tribal art and worked with the government of India for a year to provide financial inclusion through the Aadhaar program in India for 1.2 Bn people. Lived in India, Singapore, USA and Uganda.
